Although there are many things to think about and get prepared for when expecting a new baby, one of the biggest focuses is the nursery. This is the place where the baby and the parents should both feel relaxed and comfortable so it is worth putting some though into the items that you will need in there and the design.

The major piece of furniture that you need to get for the nursery is the crib. There are several different styles and designs that you can choose. One of the most useful will be a convertible crib natural colored. A convertible cot will be able to grow and change with your baby from newborn to toddler until they move to a proper bed. A natural color will be useful for whichever gender you have and also for future babies.

Some other items in the nursery that can be very useful include a change table for changing your baby’s diapers and a comfortable armchair where you can sit and feed and nurse your baby.

Once you have found the right cot for your imminent baby, you need to get a well fitting and firm mattress to go with it. On top of the mattress you can find lovely designer baby bedding, which can really set off the nursery theme. You will need at least three sets of sheets and blankets for your baby to keep up with the demand and washing.

There are some super cute bedding and sheets that are available to match the theme of your nursery. There are some lovely Disney baby bedding sets that can look very effective in the nursery depending on your theme.

To decorate the walls of the nursery it often looks great to have a mural painted. If you are not of the artistic persuasion, then you can either hire a painter to do it for you or you may be able to get decal stickers to place on the walls. Often the decals stay there with static and do not have to be stuck on with glue.

There are many beautiful things that you can add to your nursery design to make it really special. The most important thing is to get the balance between appearance and functionality right. You should find the nursery a relaxing place and so should your baby. This can really help to get a good bedtime and sleep routine into action.
