Better for toddlers
|

| I liked this product from when my daughter was really small, but when she was little I did not like the roughness factor on her sensative skin and liked the Bummis cover more. With being older, these hold the larger fluid quantity that goes along with toddlers, and I love the Bumkins even more. They cover tightly and keep in the mess. What is nicer about using these versus other diaper both disposable and other covers that you notice the smell and can change right away avoiding diaper rash which is a plus with babies that have super sensative skin (excema). These are easier to use over and over again due to drying quickly. But Bumkins do stain over time, but who care you usually have the bottom covered with clothing. |
AWFUL covers!

| We own 12 of these covers--six small and six medium. We HATE them! They stain terribly (even if you rinse them immediately), are scratchy enough to give my daughter rashes on her legs, are flimsy and thin, the leg gussets don't hold anything in, they leak terribly, AND they're more expensive than other, better-made covers. We're so disappointed in these. We've been using Thirsties Duo Wraps for a while now and like them about 100x better. Save your money! |
Would you want plastic rubbing against your legs?

| This Bumkins Diaper Cover is made of PUL. Most diaper covers have this PUL waterproof lining in the inside of the diaper, with cotton or polyester covering the cover and on the leg gussets. The Bumkins diaper is like wearing a shower curtain with elastic gussets! My daughter is smaller (she doesn't have those adorable full/chunky baby legs) and I'm done using this cover because of the red indentions I see when using this cover. Yes it's waterproof, but at the expense of the comfort of your child - not worth it. |
Best I've found

These diaper covers have been great for me. I line dry all my laundry, and for me the main advantage is that they dry VERY quickly. I can hand wash and line dry them in half an hour on a warm day. Odors and stains wash away pretty thoroughly because the fabric is so thin and lightweight. Mine are still looking almost new after 2 months of daily use.
These diaper covers are completely waterproof like old fashioned rubber pants but much nicer and easier to use. One cover can be reused for multiple diaper changes because they don't get soggy, and if they get damp, they dry out fast. I can use the same diaper cover for at least half a day or until there's a mess if I have to. You can wipe off the plastic coating on the inside as well. I find the design to be more sanitary than others I've seen.
I was given a size medium as a gift, but my baby was able to wear it at 12 lbs. (she has chubby thighs). Since then, I have purchased 2 additional Bumkins covers. I can get by with just 3, but it would be nice to have around 4. |
Not very good

| I am not very impressed with this item - I thought I would like them initially because the material is thin and less bully look than its competitors , but it is very uncomfortable. The gussets around the legs dig into my daughter creating red marks. They also do not wash very well - they loose their shape. |
