Shopping For Your New Baby

There are tons of things you’ll need to remember to buy after you have your baby. Everything from wipes, diapers, to a bathtub, clothes and bottles will be needed. This is what baby showers are great for, but even so, you won’t get everything you need at the shower.
To start, you’ll definitely need a bassinet or crib for your baby so he/she has somewhere comfortable to sleep. Look at bedding collections too to decide what’s right for you and your baby. Preferences include polyester, cotton and flannel, and depending on whether or not your baby is allergic to anything, non-allergenic materials.
You’ll need clothes, obviously, like t shirts and pants and dresses. A popular infant clothing item is the onesie, a one piece. It’s helpful when changing a lot of diapers. And speaking of diapers, you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of those as well as ointments with you. Also formula, if you’re not breast feeding.
Formula can be quite pricey but some new mothers can’t breast feed, or are uncomfortable breast feeding. Do some research on what the best formula is for your baby, and also check with your doctor.
You’ll need to safely transport your baby, so buy a stroller and a snugride car seat. Active toys for babies such as jumpers that attach to the ceiling, and swings, will keep them occupied and happy.
While transporting, you’ll also need a diaper bag to hold all your baby supplies. A good diaper bag should have lots of pockets for bottles and baby food, wipes, washcloths, and a changing pad. There are all kinds of diaper bags for mothers with different tastes. They come in pastel colors for babies, and there are fashion diaper bags too.
Also needed is the baby bath tub. An infant is too small to wash in a regular tub or shower, so buy a baby bath tub. They come in many different sizes and colors. Also get some baby bath toys to go with it so your child is occupied and can play while washing.
Put these items on your wishlist for your baby shower, but if you forget something, most likely a friend or a family member will remember them for you! Check in baby books too, because they often have lists of must haves when having a new baby.
