A Child’s closet can become easily disorganized and messy. There are, however, ways to control the mess and clutter. Once you implement a system, there is actually room for keeping your child’s closet nice and neat! Yes, there is hope.

Is the closet bar too high for your child to reach? Consider lowering the bar to a level that reaches your child nicely. If there is to too much room left after you have lowered the bar, you can add an additional bar for clothes that are not often worn, like special occasion dresses and jackets.

You can even add an additional shelf in place of bar once you’ve lowered it. You can use this extra shelf space for blankets, or other linens that go into your child’s room. This can help you get the room tidy and clean with everything you need on hand.

You can also invest in closet organizers. These organizers come in an assortment of designs and shapes. Find the one that best suits your organizational needs. This will make sifting through clothing to find a particular item a thing of the past.

For instance, if you have more than one pair of brown boots for your child, you know how easy it is to rummage through piles of shoes in order to find the right pair. Getting organized can take some of the responsibility off of you and pass it along to your child. When things are easily accessible and have a particular space, your child can begin learning to get dressed on their own.

Try investing in hanging cubes; these help keep the floor clear. Shoe racks and organizers can help separate the brown boot from the dress and play shoes. These organizers can give kids more control over their space. They can keep their things neat without having the excuse that they do not know where to put anything.

Every season rummage through your kid’s clothing. Get rid of clothes that no longer fit or worn out. Keeping clothes in the closet that your child does not wear is only a way for messes to form.

If toys are taking up space in the closet invest in large, clear plastic containers. This will give toys their own space, and make it easier for kids to clean up. And just like clothes, only keep toys that are in working order. Think about rotating baskets of toys in order to keep toys fresh and like-new to your kids.

Are You the Parent of Lazy Children?

Building of Outdoor Play Apparatus

As parents we are constantly reminded that it is our responsibility to encourage our youngsters to be active, to get exercise and not to lie around eating burgers while playing computer games. Many parents will probably agree that persuading their children to ignore their televisions and computer games can be impossible.

Last year I invested a significant amount of hard earned cash in a few pieces of outdoor play equipment, chosen by my two youngsters. They always enjoy a visit to our local park where they can race around, swing on the swings, slide on the slides and climb the climbing frames. Unfortunately our nearest park is about 3 miles away so we don’t get to visit as often as they or I would like. So I bit the bullet and shelled out quite a bit of money on a wooden swing slide playset and climbing frame which I put together whilst my wife was conveniently at the health spa.

Now I would like to report that my generosity has paid off and my children are now fit and active and can’t get enough of their new equipment. But nothing could be further from the truth. Since I installed the equipment (which presented many headaches, took a lot of hammering and quite a bit of swearing) they have probably only played on it three times. Admittedly I didn’t get the equipment until the Autumn of 2009 and since then the weather has been appalling.

At least that is the reason they give when I try to convince them that they’d enjoy a little outdoor play. It’s too cold, they often say. Or, ‘the swings are too wet to sit on’ is another excuse that I hear. I’ll be needing one of those spa treatments at this rate!

I’m hoping that, as we move into spring and the weather improves, they will naturally want to get out into the garden and get some much needed exercise on their new outdoor toys. I’m dreading another miserable, wet summer as this will result in my fat children just getting fatter instead of working off those layers of blubber with a little outdoor adventure. Nobody ever said that being parenting was easy. Although the odd massage does go down well when it all gets a bit stressful

How To Get The Children To Go To Bed

Some children even though they know that they are tired, do not want to miss out on any of the action or excitement. They want to spend as much time with mom and dad as possible. I even heard one particular day the children discussing how unfair it is that they have to go to be before me and their mother – rather crazy some might say lol. These types of children will want to disrupt and even avoid going to bed at all cost.

When I was a child I had a speech impediment known as stuttering. I was desperate to find out how to stop stammering and was aware that I would stutter more if I had had a lack of sleep the night before.

I myself have two young children and have been through this experience myself. My daughter especially needs her sleep and can be very moody in the mornings, if she has not had a particular amount of hours of it. As a parent it can become very frustrating as well as upsetting when you see your child crying because they do not want to go to bed. Comments like, please dad just one more program on the television, were far too regular, and at times I felt like backing down.

After reading numerous books on the subject of being a parent I now have the solutions to deal with this situation. Each child now has a set time when they have to be in bed by. This is a time that they have both agreed to!

They get changed into their pyjamas around half an hour before this time, and then can either spend that period of time playing with their toys or watching the television. If they want to play, we ensure that the games are relaxing ones and not too energetic.

You may well be wondering why I am so eager to get my kids to bed. Well it is because I need my own rest other wise I am a moody person at work the next day where I sell external doors as well as cheap hotel deals on a part time basis.

If there is a program that is on later than their agreed bedtimes, I agree to video it for them, this way they know that they are not missing out etc.

I have agreed that I will read them a story at bedtime. Both children have stated how much they enjoy this and it certainly helps them to chill out. The kids are also allowed to take a drink of their choice with them to bed; this saves them from having to walk downstairs later in the evening. This drink is always a juice and should not be fizzy.

Kalencom Diaper Bags

If you want some of the best quality and style in diaper bags, a Kalencom bag is what you’ll want to look for. They are versatile and attractive, and Kalencom diaper bags are also very durable. When a parent-to-be goes and gets a diaper bag he or she might not think that much about the durability because it’s assumed that someone that’s bought for a baby can’t really get that damaged. Babies don’t play with their diaper bags, anyway! They will chew on the straps, though, and bottles will get spilled, and toys coated in goo will get stuffed in the bag on stressed out days when you just want to get home and the baby is fussy and you’re tired. It’s not something you think much about when you’re pregnant, but even the best and most angelic of babies can get fussy and argumentative when they are tired, teething, hungry, or need a diaper change. With the Kalencom diaper bag you have the opportunity to purchase a bag that will stand up to all these things and still look great. They are easy to clean, easy to handle, and hold a lot.

How much room can a couple of diapers and a bottle take up?, you wonder. It’s not just a couple of diapers and a bottle, though. You’ll need something to keep that bottle cold so it doesn’t spoil. You’ll need wipes, and a pacifier if your baby uses one, and a change of clothes for when he or she spits up, and a couple of toys and a blanket. While you’re at it, you might put an extra shirt in your Kalencom diaper bag for you for when the baby spits up, as well as your cell phone, wallet, and car keys. Maybe a bottle of water and a snack, depending on how long you’ll be gone and where you’re going. Being able to fit everything you need in a Kalencom diaper bag and still have it looking great is a huge benefit, and one of the many reasons why parents and parents-to-be purchase Kalencom diaper bags.
